Administrative Assistant
We are seeking a passionate and organized Administrative Assistant to support our leadership and members. This part time role (10–15 hours per month) is primarily on site in the greater Boston area and pays $16 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist executive leadership with scheduling, document preparation and meeting coordination.
- Review mail addressed to the organization, summarize its content and report to the affiliate president.
- Help prepare newsletters, flyers and other communications to amplify our voice.
- Support planning and execution of our annual state convention, ensuring logistical needs like accessible materials and transportation are met.
What We’re Looking For
- At least six months’ experience in an administrative role (non profit experience is a plus).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with customer relationship systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multi task and meet deadlines.
- Awareness of accessibility tools and principles (e.g., screen readers, Braille) or willingness to learn through training.
- A strong alignment with NFBMA’s mission and a desire to make a difference.
Additional requirements include occasional evening or weekend availability, the ability to travel within Massachusetts for key events, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment for all members.
